Dunns River Falls Ocho Rios Jamaica

Dunns River Falls is located in a national park in Ocho Rios Jamaica.  Every day thousands of visitors to Jamaica make the visit to Dunns River Falls to climb Dunns River Falls.  Many of the all inclusive resorts in Ocho Rios offer organized tours to Dunn's River Falls.  When you get to the falls you can rent rubber shoes that will keep you from slipping on the rocks.  Lockers are also available for rent at the falls to store your shoes and other stuff.  As you climb Dunn's River Falls you work in a chain with other climbers to help each other and keep from slipping. 

The water is not nearly as cold as some might tell you.  We found it to be very comfortable.  As you reach various parts of Dunn's River Falls your guides will offer to take pictures as you pose under mini falls or slide down natural waterslides.  A waterproof disposable camera is a good idea to ensure you don't damage any valuable cameras.  The guides at Dunns River Falls are not employees of your resort or cruise so be sure to tip them as their services are definitely worth it.  The only downside to Dunns River Falls is the gauntlet of pushy shop owners you must pass through on your way out.  Just remember a polite no thank you goes along way if you are not interested in shopping.
