Partying at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville in Ocho Rios and Negril
There are three Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurants in Jamaica. One in Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. Each restaurant has a unique style and things that might attract tourists and local Jamaicans. I've visited Negril and Ocho Rios and I think I prefer the Ocho Rios restaurant. All function as both restaurants and active dance clubs. Each has become very popular with young Jamaicans. Negril has a great big beach and a bar inside and out on the beach. The beach bar is built around a tree and is really cool. A water trampoline is out in the bay and this is a very popular spring break destination. The mood is more laid back which is expected in Negril which is more laid back than other larger cities. Ocho Rios Margaritaville is located in a mall and also on a beach. The difference is that its a public beach and being located in a larger city you get more locals swimming than you might see in Negril. The attraction at the Ocho Rios restaurant is the water slide that sends you from the roof to the pool and swim up bar. The night club here is hopping and I think Thursday is ladies night so expect it to be PACKED! I've not been to Montego Bay but its main attraction is a water slide into the ocean and a water trampoline. This is another popular spring break location.
