Rick's Cafe Negril Jamaica
Rick's Cafe in Negril Jamaica is another popular Spring Break location. Like many Jamaican hotspots it functions as a restaurant and night club. The popular aspect of this spot is the cliff diving by tourists and the locals who dive from trees 60 feet over the ocean. Sunsets from Ricks Cafe are tremendous. Around six o'clock everyone turns towards the sun and goes silent. Within five to ten minutes the sun drops below the horizon and the reggae music begins. Many call Rick's Cafe a tourist trap and while drinks and food aren't cheap, it really is a must visit site for anyone vacationing in Negril Jamaica. Recently Rick's Cafe was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan. Here's to a good rebuild of this famous Negril hotspot.
Ricks Cafe Update! Rick's Cafe reopened August 2005 rebuilt and better than ever. Rick's Cafe has become a two story restaurant with a pool and of course more cliff diving from a new jumping platform.
